Last May 15, 2023,

Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos Poro Point through Thunderbird
Foundation Inc. successfully turned over three (3) units of Fischertechnik Educational
Robotics Kit to the City of San Fernando City Schools Division, Department of
Education – Region 1 and launched the Integration of Robotics Lessons to STEM and
STE Classes of La Union National High School for this incoming school year 2023 – 2024 at the Agora Event Center, Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos Poro Point.

The Turnover and Launching ceremonies was attended by representatives from the City
of San Fernando City Schools Division, Department of Education – Region 1 headed by
Dr. Ely Ubando, OIC-Schools District Superintendent; STE and STEM students and
teachers from the La Union National High School headed by Dr. Melinda S. Verzosa;
Provincial Government of La Union represented by Vice Governor Mario Ortega, City
Government of San Fernando represented by Vice Mayor Alfred Ortega and City
Administrator, Ramon Laudencia; PAGCOR represented by Mr. Alex Tobias, Head of
Pagcor Monitoring Team; Poro Point Management Corporation represented by Director
Bill Flores, and representatives from the supplier, iSource Asia Business Solutions
Corporation.

Thunderbird Resorts & Casinos Poro Point through Thunderbird Foundation Inc. is
committed to contribute in uplifting the quality of education in the country most
especially in the Province of La Union. The Educational Robotics Project is the first
project of Thunderbird Foundation for education. Likewise, the sponsored integration of
educational robotics is a pilot program in the Province of La Union. Some 282 STE
Junior High students, 368 STEM senior high students, 20 STE and STEM Teachers are
expected to take part
