In 1997, Thunderbird, through its subsidiaries, took a first step into the Latin American resort and gaming market with the launch of a gaming facility in the Camino Real Hotel in Guatemala. In just a few short years, Thunderbird's subsidiary operations have become one of the fastest growing businesses in the region by offering customers dynamic, themed and integrated resort venues anchored by casinos.

and casino businesses in five countries: Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and the Philippines.

- The Fiesta Casino at the El Panama Hotel is now one of the largest revenue producing casinos in Latin America.
